Welcome to Thunderbrew Hall!

Thunderbrew Hall

Founded in 34, at the end of the Fourth War

"Light knows the world could use more warm hearths and good company."

-Highlord Ebek Frostblade, Proprietor

Thunderbrew Hall is nestled in the eastern mountains of Dun Morogh, near the border of Loch Modan.

Alliance travellers often make their way to the tavern while traveling between Ironforge and Thelsamar. Horde adventurers tend to make their way here from New Kargath in the Badlands.

The tavern is known for it's colorful cast of characters, from average folk to stoic heroes, young and old, tired from travel or eager for action. We hope you'll join us in continuing that proud tradition!

What is Live Action Roleplaying?

Live Action Roleplaying is a major part of the fun at Thunderbrew Hall. Our guests are characters from all over Azeroth, and so we'll ask that you act in kind.

Think of it as a combination of theatre improv and storytelling. You are participating in creating your own character's experience at the tavern as you go along, and contributing to others' stories as well. At the end of the night, each of you will have a unique story to take away and memories in kind.

For those new to roleplaying - don't worry! This may be your character's first time visiting the tavern, and naturally may feel a little uneasy. Hopefully as the night goes on, the atmosphere will win you over.

There are no rules to learn or memorize, all you need to do is hang out and have a great time. Here is some advice to the live-action roleplay newbies:

  • Remember to speak in character.
  • Refer to other people by their character's names.
  • Start simple! You play a fantasy version of yourself.
  • Don't bother with a big backstory - make it up as you go along!
  • Don't forget to "yes, and." Add to other characters' narratives, don't control it or subtract from it.
  • If there is an error in yours or another's lore knowledge, don't treat it as a flaw - treat it as a noteable and interesting exception!
